Ellis Hospital is ready to provide a full range of emergency care, from close overnight monitoring in our observation unit, to immediate treatment in the cardiac catheterization laboratory to open blocked arteries during a heart attack

Noninvasive

Electrocardiograms and 24-Hour Holter monitoring to evaluate heart rhythm
Echocardiograms to evaluate heart size and valves
Transesophageal echocardiograms to determine acuteness of heart disease.
Exercise testing with or without heart visualization to assess the possibility of blocked arteries
Non-exercise drug induced stress testing for those who cannot physically exercise to test for blocked arteries

Invasive

Heart catheterization using dye injected into blood vessels to find blockages, see valve function and measure heart muscle function
Electrophysiology to find the source of heart rhythm abnormalities
