Primary Care - Pediatric Health Center
The
Pediatric Health Center is located at the Ellis Health Center (624
McClellan Street, Schenectady).
At the Pediatric Health Center, we feel its important for a physician
and parent to work together toward achieving a common goal - good health
for your child today and tomorrow. Our board certified pediatricians
lead a team of highly trained clinicians who specialize in caring for
children. Our team provides care to get your child better when he or she
is sick and provides routine check ups, immunizations and healthy living
education to keep him or her well. Plus our services go well beyond this
traditional role.
We feel it is important to create a medical home where children are
known by name and develop a long term relationship with their doctor. A
medical home is the place to turn for any problem that impacts a child's
health. If a child is sick, needs some medical advice, is having
difficulties in school or there are concerns about growth and
development or even their emotional health - the medical home is the
first place to turn. We work directly with you to help you coordinate
the multiple needs your child has in the community in order to ensure he
or she receives comprehensive health care delivery.
Primary preventative care, hospital-based pediatric and neonatal
care, chronic care of medical and mental health conditions,
developmental screenings, coordination with schools and community and
public health services that impact your child's well being are all
essential components of the mission of the Pediatric Health Center.
