What is a hospitalist?
A hospitalist is a doctor who is dedicated solely to the care and treatment of hospitalized patients.

Ellis' hospitalists are board certified in internal medicine or family medicine.

The hospitalist physician manages the care of a patient while he/she is at Ellis Hospital. A hospitalist, working alongside nurse practitioners, physician assistants, technicians, pharmacists, discharge planners, and other medical professionals will attend to the needs of a patient throughout his/her hospital stay.

From the emergency room and diagnostic testing, to recovery and discharge, our hospitalist team ensures the best care every step of the way.
