Mary Ellen Crittenden
Vice President for Quality
Ms.
Crittenden comes to Ellis with extensive experience and
leadership in the areas of quality and nursing. Most
recently, Ms. Crittenden served as the Director of
Quality, Regulatory and Medical Affairs at Benedictine
Hospital in Kingston, NY. Prior to that, Ms. Crittenden
was the Manager of Quality at St. Luke's Cornwall
Hospital in Newburgh, NY, and the Quality Improvement
Clinical Coordinator at Wellcare of Kingston. She is
also a Registered Nurse with experience in Critical
Care, Cardiac, Post Anesthesia Care, and
Medical/Surgical nursing. Prior to her career in health
care, Ms. Crittenden was an Assistant National Bank
Examiner for the Comptroller of the Currency in Houston,
TX, and a branch manager for ARCS Mortgage, a subsidiary
of Bank of New York.
Ms. Crittenden received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics
and Finance from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and went on
to earn an Associate degree in Nursing from SUNY Ulster. In
addition, Mary Ellen received a Master of Science degree in Health
Administration from New School University in New York, NY. She is a
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and a member of
the National Association for Healthcare Quality. Ms. Crittenden
contributes 15 years of experience in health care to Ellis Hospitals
senior leadership team.
