Deborah Mullaney, Secretary
Deborah
Mullaney has been a member of the Ellis Medicine Board
of Trustees since 2003 and currently serves as
secretary. She is a former chair of the Ellis Medicine
Foundation Board of Trustees.
Mrs. Mullaney has provided leadership to numerous
community organizations over the years. In addition to
her work at Ellis Medicine, Mrs. Mullaney is a board
member of the Boys and Girls Club Auxiliary in
Schenectady and the Niskayuna Community Partnership
Management Team.
While Mrs. Mullaney was raising her four children, she
volunteered many hours of her time to various civic
groups, including service as: a past president of the
Junior League of Schenectady; a past president of the
Northeast Parent & Child Society, Schenectady; a past
president of the Schenectady Theatre for Children Guild
Board, Schenectady; founder and past chair of Court
Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Schenectady; and she
has worked extensively as a member and past president of
the Niskayuna school systems Parent Teacher
Organizations.
She has been honored for her service with such awards as
the YWCA Woman of Achievement, the Junior League of
Schenectady Volunteer of the Year, and as an inductee
into the Niskayuna High School Hall of Fame.
Mrs. Mullaney currently works as an admissions
interviewer at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Previously, she was director of volunteer services at
Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, a
substitute teacher in the local school districts, and an
office administrator at General Electric Real Estate &
Construction Operation in Schenectady.
Mrs. Mullaney earned a master's degree in history from
the State University of New York at Albany, Albany, NY,
and her bachelor's degree in American history from
Connecticut College in New London, CT.
